FAQ
Short answers to the most common questions.
Is Castor custodial?
No. Castor is non-custodial. You connect your own wallet and keep your keys at all times.
How is yield generated?
From funding rates and spreads on delta-neutral positions, not from the price of an asset going up or down.
Are there lock-ups?
No. You can request a withdrawal at any time. Redemptions are processed as vault requests and typically settle between 1 hour and 5 days, depending on the vault.
How are deposits processed?
As requests. You submit the deposit from your wallet, the vault operator approves it (usually within hours; weekend requests may settle Monday), then you claim your vault shares on the dashboard.
What are the fees?
Each vault charges a management fee and a performance fee, shown on the vault (and in the app) before you deposit. There are no hidden fees. Network gas applies to on-chain actions as usual.
Is there a minimum deposit?
Yes, each vault has a minimum deposit, shown in the app before you confirm. Keep a little extra HYPE for network gas.
Which wallets are supported?
Standard EVM self-custody wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby and hardware wallets.
Can I lose money?
Yes. Delta-neutral lowers directional risk but does not remove smart-contract, counterparty, funding-rate or execution risk.
